How River Alert works
Early, location-specific alerts when river conditions point to increasing flood risk.
Live readings from official monitoring gauges.
Recent and forecast rainfall for the catchment.
Flood warnings issued by the authorities.
- 1. Register your locations
Add your home, work, family or business address. We convert each to a point and match you to the nearest alert zone. Your exact address is never shown publicly.
- 2. We monitor the rivers
A data-ingestion service periodically pulls official river-level and rainfall data and feeds it into the risk engine.
- 3. You get alerts that matter
When risk rises in your zone we notify you by your chosen channels — push, SMS or email. You only hear about zones that affect you.
The four risk levels

Conditions are becoming unusual or river levels are rising. An optional push notification is sent to subscribed residents.
Flooding is becoming increasingly possible. Push notification and SMS are sent to residents in affected zones.
